German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, who is on a two-day visit to India with the aim of expanding the overall bilateral ties, said India has so much talent and Germany wants to attract that talent.
In a joint press conference with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Scholz said, "We need talent, we need skilled workers. The development of IT and software is booming in India and many capable companies are here in India. India has so much talent and we want to benefit from that cooperation. We want to recruit and attract that talent in Germany."

Noting that India is developing, the German chancellor further said he and PM Modi have similar ideas.
On Saturday, PM Modi and Chancellor Scholz held talks on the Ukraine war, the situation in the Indo-Pacific region, clean energy, trade and new technologies.
"India has undertaken an enormous rise and that is very good for the relations between both countries," Scholz said.
The talks took place hours after Scholz arrived in Delhi on a two-day visit to India, his first to the country after he became the German chancellor in December 2021, following Angela Merkel's historic 16-year tenure at the top post.
The ties between India and Germany have been on an upswing in a range of key areas in the last few years.
